This is without doubt the hottest weather I have ever experienced.
Coming from England, where 23 degrees is considered summer, it’s taken some getting used to!
After almost a solid week of rain though, I was really happy that my weekend had perfect sunshine. I did quite a few fun things with Mitch, as we share the same days off. I finished work early on Saturday and we chilled out in Machida. There’s a really cool rooftop bar called Apartment 44 which he showed me. The staff are all cool and the food is great! They told us we can hire the roof for parties, which might be a cool thing to organise with friends from the house.
The next day we checked out the recycle shops in Machida and then went to meet his friends in Ikebukuro. One of them was celebrating his 10th year in Japan. We drank a lot throuout the day, and I must admit I wasn’t at my best towards the end of the night. Luckily we took the romance car home for free somehow. (Long story).
Monday was my favourite day though, despite my bad futsukayoi. We went to Shimokitazawa and met another one of Mitch’s friends – Karl. They share a mutual love of photography. We went to a cafe and had lunch, then Mitch’s girlfriend Kaya came to meet us too. After that, the four of us chilled out in a Shisha bar and played card games for a few hours. It was a really relaxing end to my weekend!
