Today I wanna talk more about my sharehouse. I realised a very efficient thing about oak house by oakhouse. It is not a one day thing but only today I realised it.
One afternoon I received a line message from our sharehouse group chat posting a picture of a set of new pots and pans. Wow! I was surprised because I've been using the old ones for maybe 2 months now and I don't see any problem with it! Maybe someone suggested to the maintenance staffs for us to get new ones, or the staffs simply just upgrade them once in awhile. I did not go into details for this as I am just a normal resident. Hehe. But anyway the new pans are non stick pans!! YAY!!! It made life so much easier as it is non stick, easy to use , easy to wash and just fuss free. I am happy we have these new babies! Thanks oakhouse for reaching out whenever .
The next thing we had is new plates too! Wow x2! Honestly we might be insufficient of plates because we do have an amount of people living in the social residence. But, I have never occur times that I do not have plates to use, so I don't think this a big issue. Plus, I do have my own plates and bowls that I use sometimes. But the plates and bowls prepared by the sharehouse are new, white and nice shaped so when I make aesthetic food (to post on SNS) it does look abit more nicer with these plates! (Laugh) anyway, I'm still happy we have these extra new plates! Hooray!
Today when I went to the kitchen to use the microwave, I realised that it's a new one! What? Last week someone complained that the microwave is spoiled by writing it on the whiteboard. (Newsletter/information board) On the next day, someone replied on the board that the staffs will come and repair the next day. So I thought, that's great! But maybe it was me who didn't use the microwave that often lately to not realise that they have replaced it with a new one. How awesome! I can imagine that they will not give a care about the house but surprisingly they replace it with a brand new microwave as the old one doesn't work. Taking about consideration!
I think it is very important for every member to talk for their rights , voice their opinion since we are living in the same house. Sometimes there are some compromises that everyone have to make, such as an example: wash all the dishes that you used straight away but not living them until God knows when, since other people will also want to use it. I learn a lot of things by living with others, although we have more than enough space for ourselves, we still have to communicate and see each other most days, not like living alone where you can just lock yourself up in your house for days and do whatever you like. I think that it is not a downside to live in a sharehouse, it is how you live that decides whether it suits you or not. Everyone should try, at least once or twice. I know a friend that stayed in a sharehouse for almost 5 years! Isn't that cool! This means that the place provided made him feel like a home too.
It inspires me to also voice out my opinion but not just go with it because I'm lazy or to avoid any connections. I have just suggested that we put some chairs/ sofa beside our shoes locker because sometimes it is hard to wear shoes while standing up. I think it would be a great idea and also we have some space!
Alright, I'll write again in another time. This time, claps for oakhouse!
