Kawasaki city has many facilities that promote culture and the arts, and it is popular as an artist town. One popular spot is the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum, celebrating the works of the artist and writer of Doraemon and other popular Japanese manga, and can be enjoyed by all ages. The café on the 3rd floor of the museum has a special menu. Other spots worth mentioning are the Japan Open-Air Folk House Museum, with a collection of old Japanese folk houses; and the Taro Okamoto Museum of Art.
Kawasaki also has many places where you can enjoy sports. There is the Todoroki sports arena, which is home to Kawasaki’s own J-league football club, Kawasaki Frontale. As an indoor arena Todoroki arena is also used for volleyball and basketball games.
